SPANISH + AMERICAN = THE BEST EVER!

We've had our Spanish dinner, I cooked spanish omelette, Adrian loves it! Many americans love Spain, I should say that I'm very proud of being spanish :)

I've bought flip flop, shorts, dresses... I look very american, the problem is my accent jaja They say to me that it is nice. Yesterday, I went to a party... They were dancing MACARENA y PAJARITOS, our spanish songs. They became crazy with them! For 5 min I though that I was in Spain.

Becoming american

Yes, yes.. Step by step I'm becoming american :) My american friends are treating me very well. I feel one of them, thank you so much guys!

I'm having tons of fun here, I think that I'm going out much more than in my whole life. Last day I drunk my first shot... But mami don't worry I'm always Maria.. So it means that I'm not going to go crazy in Florida, just a little bit jajaja.

Florida, Gainesville

August 6th I arrived to Gainesville. Drew came to pick me up to University of Florida (UF). He was very nice! He is almost spanish... He speaks spanish pretty well. I spent with him 2 days and he helped me with many things, muchas gracias Drew.

August 8th I came here, when I am right now for a couples of weeks. I'm with Adrian. I'm very happy to be with her. She is teaching me a lot. We are very different but the mix is perfect. Nothing is enough to thank her support. I've met her family and they invited me to have lunch in a Mexican Restaurant, they are great!

I'm having the best time ever!! My english is getting better and I'm learning slang, it's so funny. I like it because I feel that I can understand better american thoughts and way of life.

I went to a popular bar in UF is called Swamp, I met with Brett, Choppy and Peter. We had fun!

I'm meeting a lot of americans. They are so nice. Some days ago I played Beer Bong, I really like this game :) I threw the ball with spanish style jajaja.

Business men

When I was in NY, I had the chance to meet some business men.. Well let's say.. Project of business men. All of them were the same age as me so It was great to know how hard is finance. They were doing summer internships in big companies. I was 24 hours free while they were 24 hours working.. Anyway, I wanted to be in their shoes. I can't wait to be in that world! Big things. Be a girl is a challenge!

NY, a State of Mind

38 days in the Big Apple... It has been an incredible experience. A couple of years in NY would be sick, specially in the Financial District. To watch Wall Street over there it's unbeliable, it's just an American Dream.

I lived in Manhattan, 2ave 47th street (midtown). My residence was... no comments but close to everything anyway.

I've seen three times The Statue of Liberty! I can't describe my feelings... Just impossible is nothing. America gives me wings to fly. In the States I don't care if I'm fine or bad all what I know it's I'M HERE. This is enough to make me dream. I love USA!

Impossible is nothing

Hola, Hello, Bok, Olá... Welcome to America!

I flought to New York City July 1st, it was a long trip but exciting, intense feelings. I spent July 4th, Independence Day, in an american environment. It was a BBQ in the roof of a building overlooking The Empire State Building and Brooklin Bridge, plus fireworks. Awesome.

My first 10 days in NY were very hard and I wanted to come back to Spain. But when my family came to NY, I started to feel much better. We did a billions of things, it was a big experience in many senses. Wall Street, Broadway, Central Park, Times Square, Chinatown, Little Italy... They said goodbye to me in a limousine!

After that I started my english course at Rennert Bilingual. My level was 7/10. I've met many people from all over the world, spaniards included. My class and my teacher were great! My schedule was from 2pm - 6pm... very weird, I know... July 19th... NY steam a pipe burst.. it was when I was in class, it was late in the afternoon (5:57pm to be exact) during rush hour on another hot and sticky New York City summer day. First thoughts of people were of the worst. “We’re under attack.” One person died (as a result of a heart attack), two people were hospitalized in serious condition and more than a dozen others were treated. It wasn’t a terrorist attack and it wasn’t an act of sabotage. It was a breakdown of seriously old underground infrastructure. Clearly after the attacks of September 11, emergency response in New York City was under close scrutiny. I was two blocks away from the blast site, it was very scared and many memories from March 11 came to me...

Impossible is nothing
